Meal Service Update
Thanks to the passage of Healthy School Meals for All (HSMA) by Colorado voters, all students in Jeffco Public Schools who attend a school participating in the National School Lunch Program will now have access to healthy and nutritious meals at no cost regardless of income eligibility. View
this webpage to learn more about what meal service will look like for students in the 2024-25 school year.
Families are Still Encouraged to Complete a Meal Benefits Application - it is a factor in the amount of grants we receive, as well as giving us the ability to waive other fees for families.
Families are not required to complete a Meal Benefits Application, however, all families are strongly encouraged to apply. You may click on the link above or use the QR code down below.
- Completing a Meal Benefits Application will help with additional education funding for schools and may allow for waivers of school-related fees.
- All household income information provided through the Meal Benefits Application is strictly confidential and protected by law.
- Please note: Only one Application is required for all students in the household. Families who are receiving benefits through programs such as SNAP, TANF, and FDPIR do not need to complete a Meal Benefits Application.
- While online applications are preferred, paper applications are available at your student’s school as well as the Food & Nutrition Services office - 809 Quail St., Building 1, Lakewood, Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Contact Lorena Gomez-Vazquez, Free & Reduced Specialist, Food and Nutrition Services, with questions about applications at [email protected].

Please note: If we have a snow day, that day's meals are pushed to the next day, as well as the amount ordered. Because of the planning, purchasing, and preparation of food, this is usually a two-day cycle. For example, if we have a snow day on Tuesday, Tuesday's meals get pushed to Wednesday and frequently Wednesday's meals also get pushed to Thursdays. Thursday's meals are skipped altogether and we are back on schedule for Friday's meals.
